Effective November 30, 2021, fully vaccinated individuals with right of entry to Canada who depart and re-enter the country within 72 hours of leaving Canada will not have to present a pre-entry molecular test. This exemption is only for trips originating in Canada taken by fully vaccinated Canadian citizens, permanent residents or individuals registered under the Indian Act, who depart and re-enter by land or by air and can demonstrate that they have been away from Canada for less than 72 hours.

The Canadian Food Inspection Agency has been notified of an outbreak of African Swine Fever in the state of Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania (Mecklenburg-Vorpommern) in Germany. Until further notice, all imports of unprocessed pork products and by-products from this state are suspended. Shipments certified on or before November 14, 2021 will be accepted.
Health Canada’s Food Directorate completed a safety assessment of modified vinegar for use as a preservative in various standardized meat and poultry products as well as in unstandardized preparations of meat and poultry products. The results of the assessment support the safety of modified vinegar when used as described in the information document below. Consequently, Health Canada has enabled this use of modified vinegar by modifying Part 2 of the List of Permitted Preservatives, effective November 8, 2021.
This PDL amendment will take effect on May 16, 2022 and communicated to stakeholders through the publication of a Notice of Amendment. No currently marketed product will be affected by this amendment.
The purpose of this Notice of Amendment is to notify about the additions of Dequalinium chloride, Enfortumab vedotin, Somatrogon, and Tralokinumab to the Prescription Drug List (PDL) for human and veterinary use.

The Ontario government is continuing to improve access to modern and customer-focused services by eliminating mailing paper renewal notices in favour of convenient digital reminders. By eliminating paper renewal notices, Ontario will be saving up to $29 million over five years in postage and mailing costs with funds being re-invested into critical programs and services like education. Further, it will benefit the environment by saving approximately 80 million pieces of paper – roughly 16,000 boxes or 362 tonnes – over five years, reducing unnecessary waste and protecting our forests.
[/vc_column_text] EPA is proposing significant new use rules (SNURs) under the Toxic Substances Control Act (TSCA) for chemical substances that were the subject of premanufacture notices (PMNs) for 27 substances.
The European Union (EU) regulates food products containing both products of plant origin and processed products of animal origin as composite products. All processed products of animal origin that are used as ingredients in composite products exported to the EU must come from EU-approved establishments. Effective January 15, 2022, composite products are subject to new certification requirements for export to the EU. Exports of non-shelf-stable composite products and shelf-stable composite products that contain meat products other than gelatin, collagen, or highly refined products derived from meat must be accompanied by an official certificate that identifies the approved establishment(s) that supplied each processed product of animal origin. Exports of shelf-stable composite products that do not contain meat products except gelatin, collagen, or highly refined products derived from meat do not need an official certificate and must be accompanied by a private attestation established in Annex V of Commission Implementing Regulation (EU) No 2020/2235.

Ethanol is classified as a polar solvent, a compound (such as alcohol, most acids, or ammonia) with a separation of charge in the chemical bonds. These have an affinity for water and will readily go into solution.
